[imagine trumpets blowing and a royal page saying...]
Introducing Lady Alysa of Cindrella on the Prairies, here to share her stories with you all!
Oh hello there!
It's so nice of you to join me today. I know you must have many questions about who I am and why I'm here, so get comfy and I'll tell you all about my tale.
I was raised in a small town and while always having big dreams I also always had a one track mind. I determined my career in Kindergarten [see pic below], I was determined to live on a farm and marry a farmer [here I am], and I was determined to be a mother [another success]. So how do all of these checks, lead to Cinderella on the Prairies?
I felt lost. I had everything I had wanted in my life, but somewhere in there all of my big, hidden dreams got lost and I felt trapped. When I got home from the hospital after having my daughter in 2016, the reality of my dreams being put on hold [and some post partum depression] set in. I realized I had always lived in a mind set that any dream I had was still possible at some level. Bringing her home from the hospital all of a sudden seemed to put a stopper in those dreams. Obviously I now realize this was just a feeling and not a reality.

Laying on the floor, playing with my baby, I began to imagine all of the possible futures the world could hold for me.
1: I could stop dreaming entirely. Finish out my maternity leave[s], go back to my teaching career [which I did do and do enjoy] and accept that the next 30 years of my life would be entirely scheduled by others.
Or,
2: I could take action, and begin to create a life on my own terms. One that would be opent to posibilities and new adventures. One that could keep all of my dreams and ambitions alive, while still providing a secure stable life for my family.
Option 2 seemed way more exciting.
Ok ... So what is Cinderella on the Prairies then?
Cinderella on the Prairies was and is my solution to my slump. Inspired by Disney and the idea that life can be magical as long as YOU decide it is; this page is where my Disney inspired approach to life will be documented and shared. Disney inspired styles, Disney inspired foods, and Disney inspired adventures/activities will be shared! The twist?! It's all happening in the middle of no where in rural Saskatchewan!
